I was reading the comments under an Alain de Botton clip and I read this from men who sound like they hate women. A man who said ''all women have borderline personality disorder'' and who seemed to have missed the central point of alain de botton's podcast that we are drawn to a familiar dynamic more instinctively than we are drawn to a healthy one. Lucky us if it's the same. Anyway, is MGTOW (men going their own way) just celibate men slagging off women?

Wikipedia says it counsels men not to let their worth be defined by women. But that is more important for women imo, women are more vulnerable in society to requiring men's approval. How is it an issue for men?

Everybody male or female should have a sense of self=worth that is not reliant on how physically attractive they are to the opposite sex right.

Where is I think they are repellent, I wonder how much influence they have? They are so open about the way they think and feel I can't imagine them being able to operate in society on a level that could be problematic.

Unless they are also amazing actors an manage to convince everybody else around and they are really a good guy.

I ended up reading around on the www after seeing MGTOW here on mumsnet. Just seemed to be bitter individuals who had made sweeping generalisations about women.

Exactly. They are so extreme, I can't see them ever being in a position to make decisions.

A great many men now feel that women have allowed themselves to be represented by 3rd wave femenists and are only too happy to take advantage of the privelages that these men haters wrestle from the government and judiciary all the while publicly saying how wrong these women are. I think they've made a mistake. It shouldn't, surely, be "Men who have given up on women" but "Men who have been given up on by women".

Women purposefully don't date men so we don't have them sucking the life out of us. The difference in my confidence and engagement with life a month before dumping my ex and three months after was so great that even my very non-feminist aunt and uncle noticed. Men are like vampires.

Maybe one day they’ll have a revelation that the best way to get regular sex is to treat women like actual human beings and do your half of the housework. It’s not rocket science.

Agrona, FWIW, it's likely a partial translation of the word 'dead' into binary. Full binary translation may exceed characters allowed in a username so last 'd' in 'dead' (01100100) would not get through.
