This is reality.

But we should act as though it were a dystopian novel, and become the heroes of the novel.

It's just extraordinary. I'm getting to the stage where I don't think I'd be prepared to visit America - intrusive checks on entry (including demanding access to your social media accounts), then no human rights, rampant misogyny and racism once you get there. Shame, because it's a country I've visited many times and really loved visiting in the past, but it really is in the process of changing out of all recognition.

There have always been deep running strands of this sort of thing in the USA, particularly in the South, but it does seem to be more widespread and on such a bigger level now M0stlyBowlingHedgehog

Exceptions will not even apply in the cases of rape – meaning that sexual abusers would have the power to refuse and potentially block their victims from ending a traumatic and unwanted pregnancy.

Well, it will make the conservatives happy. The number of women the average gay man in Arkansas officially had sex with will rise significantly. (I expect most women would ask a gay man for that favour, as it is the safest way to avoid heterosexual male "friends" suddenly feeling entitled to turn the lie into reality ...)

I read about this a while ago. I think it is genuine.
