I thought it was pretty good, does anyone have more examples?

I like that a lot.

DJBaggySmalls · 06/07/2017 15:53

You insist the 'radical' in 'radical feminism' means 'radicalised', like with Jihadists.

Douchebag?

Interested to know if there is evidence of the last point - is there?

M0stlyBowlingHedgehog · 06/07/2017 16:18

Great list!

(I see what you mean about "douchebag", expo - not a good idea to use a sexist insult. Though I presume the author is asking us to imagie the mindset of an MRA, and this would be one of their go-to insults.)

expotition · 06/07/2017 16:51

True... It's a quibble I guess Smile

venusinscorpio · 06/07/2017 17:58

The last point is absolutely based on MRA rhetoric.

Read the comments on any article about rape in a mainstream newspaper or web forum.

wtffgs · 06/07/2017 18:04

Great list 👍🏻

Sorry, I didn't mean was it a fair point about MRAs, I meant is there clear evidence that knowing & reacting to red flags protects from rape? As in, are there objective signs by which you can spot a likely rapist? I believe there are - at least to spot someone who is likely to rape in a relationship - but the way it's worded implies there is clear evidence of that, and if so I would really like to see the evidence so I can point other people at it.

I think women are trained not to trust their feelings and not notice red flags from birth, and every time we discuss rape on these boards there will invariably be someone turn up to let us know that not all men are rapists.
