FT article about women politicians...

...and their dress sense. The FT have seen fit to include in their style section an article that criticises leading women politicians in the UK for wearing clothes that are too similar. Specifically the same kind of red jacket.

I actually thought it must be a spoof until I followed the link to the FT Facebook page where it was published. I cannot believe that this sort of drivel is published, and that no one at the FT spotted the obvious double standard that male politicians wear almost identical outfits daily, for decades, and no on cares.

It would have been just as possible for them to write an article about how wearing nearly identical clothes (like men in suits) will finally take attention off their dress sense and onto their ability.

I hope those politicians find out what's been written about them and respond by wearing the same red jacked every day. And buy the same version of it that the others have, too.

That'd be awesome.
