Anita Sarkeesian has criticized various video games for sexualizing women and in some cases over-sexualizing women. This can't be further from the truth. I have seen some female game characters and it disgusted me. They are used for pleasure, rape, etc. Anita Sarkeesian has highlighted all these issues. And, now she's getting a lot of hate for it.
You can see the sexualization of women in GTA games. There's no female lead character in GTA story mode. Why place them as lead characters in the game when they can be portrayed as prostitutes, right?
I'm glad Anita Sarkeesian is speaking out about this.. Her voice needs to be heard.
