I just came across these competitions to win toy hampers on UK Mum's TV. Why oh why do they need to categorize prizes according to gender.
So only girls need to be pampered and boys only like gadgets.

"What boy doesn’t love to be spoiled with the latest toys and gadgets at Christmas time? With this in mind, we went on a hunt to find the latest products for boys and put them into this fab festive hamper. It includes toys and games, including superhero themed products, to keep them entertained over the festivities. Any young recipient of this load of amazing products will be over the moon with what they find inside."

"Take a look at what we’ve put inside this prize hamper to discover some of the latest products for girls on the market. They’re all perfect for your little princess! This prize hamper is packed full of amazing presents that are ideal for girls to play with, as well as products that will make them feel like a pampered princess. Is the special girl in your life a fan of Elsa from the Disney film Frozen? If so, they’re bound to be pleased. Read on to find out for yourself!"

Is that a shopping channel? Oh I agree the hampers are rubbish but the whole site is so badly written I don't think you can take it seriously.

The "Stylish Mum" tips are hilarious - basically "remember to put some clothes on before going out doors".
