Spartici?

Anyway, can we please show our support for the brave journalist who has written this for the Independent by sharing and commenting on it? She will need supportive comments to counteract the tidal wave of TA hatred coming her way.

This is a great chance to raise awareness of trans issues amongst general readers who don't have the benefit of MN's wisdom Wink

Done! But didn't you mean "sex" rather than "gender" in your thread title? Wink

What with the conflation of click and clit, somehow I want to cross my legs. Grin

I am loathe to wade in on this trans thing, but that article very good. I'm also compelled to as the basic question as to why public discourse appears to privilege trans who are transitioning from male to female?

I see there are loads of trans women praised and awarded women of the year awards lauded for courage etc. Where are all the trans men winning man of the year awards? What single inch of traditionally male space has been surrendered and given to trans men?

It really does seems that being issued a penis at birth really is a passport to go anywhere you want in life (even if that's to become a woman). Wheras all a vagina gets you is it's biologically assigned function and fuck all else.

Great article. And I'm always happy when people write gender instead of sex in titles because our bloody internet filter doesn't let me open anything with 'sex' in it! 😁
