It looks to me he was particularly angry at one of the sons for defending his mum, the suicide note was aimed at the son, so the revenge was very calculated to hurt everyone and put blame on another male.

Yes the decent bloke driven over the edge scenario drives me nuts. This coward was another loser who couldn't comprehend how she could walk away under her own steam. His logic was another man (his son) helped her. I'm glad he's dead. Don't think I want to hear another trial that focuses on his depression blah blah blah.
