Neo-Liberalism and the Defanging of Feminism

Just watched this incredible lecture by Gail Dines and sharing for others' benefit:

Be warned, from about the 40 minute mark there is a very tough section on porn, no visuals but fairly distressing language quoted. Certainly worth watching though, if only to expose what a useless piece of steaming excrement third-wave feminism has become.

Dines talks about how the individualist, special-snowflake culture has destroyed our ability to organise a collective, class-based movement against the patriarchy, by prioritising individual "feelings" thereby making class-based analysis impossible. She eviscerates ideas like "empowerment" and "agency" and gets to the nub of how and why modern liberal feminism has ended up colluding with the oppressor. It's fascinating and illuminating.

Just to be clear - I don't intend to attack any liberal feminists with this post. I used to be one. I think however this is worth watching if you do identify as a libfem because you may find a new way of looking at the subject.

I'm interested in this - thanks for sharing. Just read 'liberating Motherhood' by Vanessa Olorenshaw. She attacks Neo-liberalism quite a lot throughout the book, so I'm interested in hearing more about it

I watched this and it is brilliant, important for anyone interested in why the third wave movement is failing us

just look at Antifa here in Denmark:

Then look at DF's (Danish UKIP) increase in the vote based on the actions of the snowflake left and curling parents... the snowflakes have to melt, and melt fast, or there's no way leftward leaning parties are going to present a valid and viable alternative. you cant negotiate with them, they just need to be sidelined.

Not a big fan of Gail Dines, her argument against porn is common sense (or should be) but her other ideas fail all logic, she's a typical lefty i.e thinks she's entitled to other peoples money, has stupid arguments about capitalism and free trade and loves the Marxist theory of ideology.
