It was a few weeks ago. An author was interviewed about a book she'd written about someone called Martial something who was a lawyer, I believe in Britain, possibly turn of the century 1900 ish who represented many women who were being prosecuted for being a prostitute, Dv related offences etc. Apparently anyone who studied law would have also studied this chap. Can anyone suggest the author or even who this lawyer was? I can't find anything on t'internet.
