Alternative games to Hol for 10 year old DD

Finally got the time last night to look more closely at Hollywood U which 10 year old DD has been playing over last few weeks. Didn't like it much and managed to explain to her the aspects of it that were negative
-Women with bodies that looked surgically enhanced
-Obsession with riches/entourages/appearance/dating/celebrity etc

We have agreed to stop playing Hollywood U and find something different so I am now looking for alternative on-line world game which I am sure must exist, suitable for a pre-teen. She has shown no interest in Minecraft. She did like my horse but this seems a little simple now. She likes Science fiction as well
Any suggestions gratefully received
I have put this in chat as well to garner a range of replies

Hello, there's a good list of MMORPGs here that are age appropriate
bestmmoworlds.blogspot.co.uk/2009/02/virtual-worlds-for-kids-under-13-years.html

Some of them will be vapid but there must be good stuff there.

Thanks, I will have a look through

If you don't have any luck asking on here, have you had a look at jump magazine? I seem to remember they have some gaming reviews from the POV of suitability for pre-teens, or if they don't have what you're after you might be able to contact some of the contributors via social media to see if they have any suggestions?

DD, who's just turned 10, recommends Roblox games online - she likes the 'Work in a pizza place' and 'High School' ones in particular, but has enjoyed other ones too. Mind you, she's into Minecraft in a big way, so if your DD isn't bothered by that she may not like these either. However, there's an awful lot of things to choose from on the site.

Petula, thanks for introducing me to Jump. What a great resource. Can't wait to show to DD

Lovecat, thank your DD from me. Will have a look at those. My DD looking a lot happier than yesterday when the news of disconnecting from Hollywood U was explained. It's tough for them to understand the bigger picture sometimes
