Good books about suffragettes for primary age DD?

Hurrah for Jacqueline Wilson, is what I say, somewhat to my surprise.

Thanks to Opal Plumstead - which is about a girl who becomes a suffragette - DD is very interested in the subject and would like any books that might be out there. She's 8, but can read fairly well.

Oh, and she'll be going in as a suffragette for World Book Day as a result...

Jump Mag may have a few suggestions?

Also Sandi Toksvig Girls are Best and Heroines and Harridans may be suitable and have something in them?

The My Story series has one about a suffragette www.amazon.co.uk/Suffragette-My-Story-Carol-Drinkwater/dp/1407120727/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420840904&sr=8-1&keywords=my+story+suffragette
and I can also recommend this one by Adele Geras - it is part of a series called Historical House but all the books can be read as stand alone novels www.amazon.co.uk/Lizzies-Historical-House-Adele-Geras/dp/0746060300/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1420840980&sr=1-1&keywords=historical+house

Both of them should be well within her capabilities if she has read Opal Plumstead.

Sorry - got it wrong - the suffragette one in that series is Polly's March They are all good though for a girl with an interest in history.

Oh and look at this pack OP. It looks amazing.

Thank you for all of this. I have ordered those two from the library - and the replica pack looks fantastic (I had the Jackdaw folders like that as a child, so it's particularly brilliant to see that!)
