Has anyone ever used page 3 to embarrass, intimidate or scare you?

I am a supporter of the campaign to get rid of the Sun's page 3. There is a petition here: that has nearly 200,000 signatures if anyone would like to sign it:

A while ago I created a website to collect examples of when page 3 has been used, either maliciously or by accident, to make women feel rubbish. If something like this has ever happened to you, even a minor thing, it would be great if you wouldn't mind adding your story to the website here:

Thank you.

How would page 3 be used to scare someone?

I also wondered this.

While I also don't agree with page 3, I often think the reasoning behind it is often twisted or over stated.

Some interesting and awful stories on there. Well done making the website reader12.

I'm not sure if my story is really significant, but my (violent and generally unpleasant) stepfather would leave copies of the Sun lying around, and page 3 made me feel uncomfortable and vulnerable.

I don't know if this will count or not but I always remember being about 18 and being collected for my first driving lesson by the instructor who came to my front door to get me - he told me to go and get in the drivers seat and as I got to the car, on the drivers seat was a copy of The Sun, folded open at page 3 and with a huge pair of naked boobs just staring at me.

I felt really freaked out about having to get in the car with this man alone for an hour.

Even all those years ago at the tender age of 18, knowing what page 3 was and probably having seen it loads of times and topless models etc, I felt threatened.

I'm a little lost - how would page 3 be used to scare someone? Whilst I really disagree with page 3, I don't see how it could be used to scare someone.

I wouldn't say that it's scary as such.

But yes, as a teenager I certainly experienced the 'ooh, I bet your boobs are even bigger than hers' comments from groups of teenage boys on occasions. It was hideous, in fact 20 something years later it still makes me feel embarassed.
