Channel 4 interview with Vice magazine journalist - victim blaming over Terry Richardson

Did anyone see Channel 4 news interview regarding Terry Richardson (photographer who did the Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball video and has been accused of co-ercing women into sexual encounters)?

They had a disgusting Vice journo who basically victim blamed, and claimed that one of the people complainign about him was a porn artist who wears t-shirts saying Slut on them, as though that made Richardson's behaviour acceptable.

Luckily Channel 4 had Caryn Franklin arguing back, incredibly well and intelligently I might add, but I was really shocked that this man was happy for his victim blaming view to be broadcast. He even said "what is this Victorian England???" when Caryn suggested that Richardson had co-erced women.

I'm a journo myself and wouldn't expect to last long if I had appeared on Channel 4 spouting crap like this. I wonder what Vice will do.....

It will be on Channel 4 +1 if you missed it.

Yes, that was shameful, I'm glad that Carolyn Franklin stood up to him. He certainly didn't do his friend any favours, even if he is innocent. I can't say that I know anything about this other than what was on the programme, but the guy came over as a misogynistic arse and Vice would do well to distance themselves from that train wreck.

Caryn not Carolyn obviously, stupid autocorrect.

I saw it. The man was an idiot. Had he not been so disgustingly misogynistic I would have been laughing at his obvious lack of intelligent argument. Where do they find them. On the plus side I agree at least the women made mincemeat out of his comments

I saw it too and I think he goes to the top of my "most obnoxious people I ever seen interviewed" list.

The outright victim-blaming and misogyny was breathtaking. Urgh.

I'm glad that Caryn was there to make some sensible points.
