Essentially a really badass mum takes on the revenge porn king when he publishes pictures hacked fron her pc.

I hadn't seen a thread on this yet, but it is really horrific. I checked the guy out and he's still really active on twitter so it seems that he's gotten away scott free.

He's a deeply terrifying man. Misogynist, stalker, ego maniac. Who in their right mind sends a picture of his penis out like that? It was to her lawyers, wasn't it?

Correct. If they could get a database of his sick followers and their names and addresses up online that would be a result.

I read it off a friend's FB feed. Nasty stuff. But the woman's work is brilliant! (it was her daughter's account that got hacked, btw).

The whole thing has been minimised in the [American] mindset by calling it "revenge porn" (with the implication that the pictures had been willingly given, but then passed on), but in reality most of the cases were people whose accounts had been hacked. In the daughter's case it was pictures she took of herself and never intended for anybody to see. In at least one case it was - IIRC - pictures hacked from the woman's surgeon's office!

But a relatively "happy" ending. Other cyber-guys were helpful and thanks to this woman's efforts, the law is getting changed and more attention is being called to the whole thing.

This story is weird in that it is both disgusting (on the man's part) and yet totally awesome and inspirational (on the woman's part....shock*horror)!!!
