Samsung aren't the only people who make SSDs, so you can still have one.
And the cynic in me says - they're probably getting the ad to a far wider audience for no cost than actually paying for advertising slots would.
I work in IT, and part of my role is round storage, so I know just what a solid state drive is. But last time I went on a techy course with a vendor, the (female) administrator cheered when I walked in, because they so rarely see women. [sigh] You either have to develop a thick skin, or you leave for a different career where people don't stare at you just because you're a woman. I do actively try to encourage people to take it up as a career - I don't mention these tales when I do so, but I have met others who refuse to promote STEM careers to girls, because they know what hassle they'll have to deal with.
