Feel free to namechange Grin

I have been thinking about it, DH isn't working that sat so he can have the kids...

I'm planning to go.

NiceTabard · 17/05/2013 21:50

Good one Smile

Anyone else?

OP posts:
NiceTabard · 17/05/2013 22:38

Just you and me then!

Do you reckon it would be OK to bring my older DD (6) or realistically... i'm not am I as the subject matter will be too upsetting. I don't think there's a kids thing going on.

I'm the wrong person to ask ... I can imagine it might just be very boring. I'll see if anyone knows.

Childrenofthestones · 17/05/2013 23:47

Is it still at the Irish centre?

NiceTabard · 17/05/2013 23:58

Thanks LRD

Children their website says so. Are you thinking of going?

MooncupGoddess · 18/05/2013 00:03

Last year there was a lot of discussion about violence against women and some graphic images, so probably not suitable for children.

NiceTabard · 18/05/2013 00:08

Yes that was what I was thinking mooncup.

It was just a casual sort of a thought which I more or less dismissed as soon as it came, but thought worth mulling.

Are you going? I wouldn't mind a drinking rematch

OP posts:
MooncupGoddess · 18/05/2013 00:26

Oh, so that's who you are, NiceTabard Smile

I'm probably not going this year - am doing another feminist thing on the Sat - but might be tempted along for a drink at some point. Would be good to see you!

LRDtheFeministDragon · 18/05/2013 08:03

Sounds as if other people are taking children, but there's nothing official organized.

NiceTabard · 18/05/2013 19:36

I don't think I'd be able to do the evening part as DH is out for a curry in the eve. Dammit!

LRD I think if I do go I won't take her. You're right she will get bored and then I'll be distracted - not ideal!

OP posts:
BasilBabyEater · 18/05/2013 22:00

I'm still planning on going

NiceTabard · 19/05/2013 23:16

Thanks for replying basil!

Are there a bunch of MNers going this year do you know? (Not asking who - just if!)

OP posts:
BasilBabyEater · 20/05/2013 19:16

I think so, yes. Am just vaguely hoping we'll bump into each other. Maybe we should wear badges? Grin

NiceTabard · 20/05/2013 19:48

Again??? Grin

I should decide whether or not to go for it really shouldn't I!

Mitchy1nge · 21/05/2013 22:30

I nearly went last year if that is any help? I bought tickets and liked the cloak and dagger email nearer the time about meeting strangers at strange tube stations Grin - could someone pm the details or is same site as before? It always seems to be when anyone with any sense is on holiday though.

Mitchy1nge · 21/05/2013 22:31

oh it is practically NOW

Shock
LRDtheFeministDragon · 21/05/2013 22:33

Oh - erm, if you're coming, you've got about an hour and a half to buy a ticket!

I'll PM you. Please come, it'd be lovely.

Mitchy1nge · 21/05/2013 23:07

gah

I will keep you posted

NiceTabard · 22/05/2013 19:49

Oh? I didn't realise Blush

So I guess that's my decision made then!

OP posts:
MooncupGoddess · 22/05/2013 22:14

Might be worth emailing them; I heard that quite a lot of people haven't booked yet due to uncertainty about the venue, so they may extend registration.

NiceTabard · 22/05/2013 22:17

Thank mooncup.
I'm still undecided. DH isn't very well at the mo and I was kind of going to wait and see".

OP posts:
MooncupGoddess · 22/05/2013 22:40

Sorry to hear that, Tabard; hope he gets better soon.
