Republican appointed judge in victim blaming episode

Oh c'mon!

Apparently Judge Jacqueline Hatch in Arizona thinks it's important to tell the victim of a sexual assault that if she hadn't been in a bar then a drunken cop who was found guilty and dismissed from the force wouldn't have been able to assault her. Aaargh'!

That story is so shocking.

You know people think that way, but you don't expect Judges to go ahead and say it in the middle of a court, to a victim

Wow. And the judge who made these remarks and reduced his sentence is a woman

I know - why the need to say anything to the woman??
