Donating toiletries to women's shelter

Hi all,

I am moving in a couple of weeks and I have a load of unused toiletries that I don't have room for. Does anyone know of a women's shelter or other similar organisation that would take them?

Either in London or Gloucester, as I'll be there this weekend.

Thanks for your help, I have had a google, but can't seem to find anywhere.

Marking place and wondering if they would want toys or kids clothes. (Nr Gloucester. )

Not sure about toiletries but my local sure start centre takes clothes and toys then passes them on. Might be worth giving them a call?

I wonder if it might be considering if they would be useful to a food bank locally to you too, depending on what the items you had were of course.

The red cross will take them. As for your local shelter, call them.

I do this - baby clothes, kids clothes, maternity clothes, generic school uniform bits and pieces are always in demand - grey skirts/cardigans etc. We also leave in unused nappies (bought in the wrong size but opened, brands that we didn't like etc).

Get hold of your local women's aid. When women come to stay there they get given a starter kit that has food, shampoo, toys for kids and clothes if needed a lot of women have nothing when they get there. Women aid always welcome things.

Thank you for posting this, I have a load of children's clothes and maternity things I would like to give to a good home. Plus, I can't use gifts of toiletries and things as I am allergic to some ingredients, so good to know where they can go.
