doesn't it make you laugh, even a bit? the idea that there is even a comparison to be drawn between the imaginary 'sexism against men' on here and the actual Real Problems of discrimination and violence that actual Real Women live with?

It does make me laugh some days and other days it just makes me weep.

More often than not, it just fucking baffles me, because I don't know how some people can actually not see what is in front of their eyes.

Yeah, some days I laugh because it is just so ridiculous, other days I'm just too sad and angry. And tired - trying to get people to acknowledge reality is so very tiring.

It helps me a bit to think of one of Nora Ephron's quotes, which was something along the lines of 'don't underestimate how many people have a lot of energy invested in halting progress and sending all us women back to the dark ages, this is a serious priority for lots of people'. She's so right. It's all still sickening but it helps, ever so slightly, to deal with the madness that is the Galloway/Assange stuff and all the other mad stuff
