Am I missing something? It just says they argued about gender politics.

You could say 'gender politics' isn't even feminism if you really wanted.

WidowWadman · 09/08/2012 18:10

LRD - the story was set in the gender studies department of some uni, a young girl murdered by her professor, both being political lesbians who had the hots for some swishy male professor of English lit. It also involved "post-gender feminists" who called themselves Rainbow and Leaf.

It was as cringy as a very cringy thing

Maybe I needed to see it.

messyisthenewtidy · 09/08/2012 20:03

I think you can safely say that if the writers give characters the names "rainbow" and "leaf" we are not supposed to like them!!

scottishmummy · 09/08/2012 20:10

I do believe it's that new fangled parody & humour thang
I hear you're not meant to take it seriously.at all
or get too angst in a postmodern what's it all mean Mildred way

KRITIQ · 09/08/2012 20:14

Reason 63 that I'm glad I don't have a tv.

scottishmummy · 09/08/2012 20:16

but not immune to the delights of Internet?
why no tv, is it a virtuous mc it's all rot and prole food
I love telly

WidowWadman · 09/08/2012 22:08

scottish - ah, but I'm German. We Germans take humour very seriously...

As I said, if it had been done in a funny way, I wouldn't have minded.
