Anyone here been to Women in Tune?

Apologies, not really a women's rights question, but I figured people on here were more likely to have been.

DD & I are thinking of going this year, everyone I know who's been has really enjoyed it & the whole 'revolting women' thing is absolutely up my street BUT none of them have kids/or they went pre-kids. One friend has just said that her feeling is that there's less children around than other festivals & maybe not so much going on for them.

Since one reason (amongst others) that I fancied going is that I thought it would be great for dd to have some time in a women/girl only space, that's a bit off-putting. Plus, I don't want a bored 10 y/o as it won't be any fun at all for me Grin So just wondering if anyone had any experience of going with their dds & what they reckoned?

never even heard of it Blush but sounds like something would be very interested in

I think from everything I've heard its absolutely fab - for grownups! I just want to know if it is fab too for a 10 year old Grin

Come to that - any MNers fancy a WiT meet-up???

maybe - is theoretically possible for me, will see

Have heard it is great fun. Seems too much focus on acoustic music to me, which is why I have never gone. But I did hear 1 punk band play that apparently lots of people knew from Woman In Tune - they were great fun.

I have never been, but would like to and think it sounds ace. I have a nearly 9 year old and I would love to take her to an event like that.

I like acoustic music, so that doesn't bother me (like most types of music). I don't think its too hippy which is my only criteria Grin Grin

Really no-one on here who has been to it?

I was sure this was the place to ask . . .

And for those that don't know it, have a look here. Maybe I can just persuade you all to come with your dds :)
