I just got him a glass of water which he is refusing to drink on the grounds that the bird on the cup has big sticky-out eyelashes and therefore the cup must be a girl's cup.
Sigh.
I am now banging on having an animated debate with him about the fact that girls no more have big spiky eyelashes than boys do.
3 years old and already utterly immersed in the notion that boys are normal and girls are other.
I can't decide whether to argue the eyelash point, or point out that even if it is a "girls' cup" (whatever that may be) he can still drink out of it.
Yeh, not much else to think about today...
