Just spotted a pic of Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly from Cagney and Lacey here. So impressed that to see two actresses who have resisted the drip drip pressure not to look as if you've aged, and are both grey-white.
I've just read two threads (one on here, one in style and beauty) in which most posters said that they dye their grey hair and talked about how 'ageing' it is to have grey hair. If the pressure gets to us civilians (in Liz Hurley's famous usage) how much more intense must it be for women whose appearance is their bread and butter. And we all know that the pressure not to age is much more intense for women than for men.
Gless and Daly do look, of course, as if the years have passed, and why shouldn't they? I just think they are fantastic role models for embracing it.
