No-one has suggested rape is the same as jokes about rape. But we are still concerned and upset by them. Because they are disgusting.

Edd, why are you so scared at the idea that feminism changes the world? You're able to read and write; you must have been to school and have some sense of how far we've come. Is it the idea that you might have to change too that's frightening?

I'm not that keen on rom coms. They always seem to disappoint.

I really detest the promo poster for this film though. It seems to be on every other bus going by. Just yucko.

I didnt enjoy black swan. I thought it was unpleasant, misogynistic clap trap. The two scenes that were particularly vile were the one mentioned upthread with the director saying he seduced her and another where the other dancer spikes her drink. Yuk.

I thought Black Swan was positively dire. All women stab each other in the back, all mothers are jealous of their daughters, all girls lust after older men....It was dreadful and predictable...
