Memoirs of women

I was thinking we could make some recommendations for some real life story books by/about women. I was thinking along the lines of victims of rape, domestic violence, abuse, forced marriage and parental abductions but any suggestions are great. Perhaps even autobiographies of great females?

My suggestions are

When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit by Judith Kerr (semi-autobiographical). This is the Judith Kerr who wrote The Tiger Who Came To Tea, btw.

Not Without My Daughter by (I think) Betty Mahmoody.

Velocity by Mandy Sayer. A memoir of her childhood enduring poverty, parental neglect, alcoholism, domestic violence and abuse. Sayer is a brilliant writer and storyteller. I really appreciated this one.
