If not you can on 4OD here.

The first episode of the new series focussed on a girl with a very androgynous style, quite a lot of interesting stuff about gender issues I thought. Acceptance/rejection of make-up etc.

ive just watched it now on sky plus. Was a bit crazy, but the thing that annoys me about the whole you shouldn't wear make up or, its a disgrace if you feel uncomfortable without it, is that no one seems to have bad skin, and i mean really bad.
like for all my life even in school before anyone started wearing make up i would get told how rough i looked, how there was something wrong with my skin, was i having a reaction to something, how does someone like me stand a chance of feeling good about my bare face.
Its not even that bad, just not perfect so i get treated like a monster, anyway rant over! haha,
so what did you think of the first episode?

I know, kitten. It's alright for those luminous types isn't it :o I had dry skin & eczema that segued effortlessly into teenage spots. But I suppose what I found interesting about it was more the fact that she felt like she was in disguise when wearing it, because it is a bit like that isn't it.

In my head I sometimes call getting ready to go out putting on "girlface", like blackface, an exaggerated (perhaps piss-taking) version of the real thing.

haha exactly, it is definitely a mask, i go bright red with self consciousness if anyone (apart from boyfriend) looks at me without make up!
