In the context of Andy Gray etc. She wants to "protect male banter"

She thinks that "this is the real world and women need to stop moaning"

She thinks that "women are doing themselves doing a disservice"

She thinks that "it makes women less employable"

Oh and apparently "it shows a lack of a sense of humour"

I don't know who she is and I'm busy watching the misogynist remake of The Wicker Man.
It is a terrific load of shite Smile

Oh oh oh I was watching. Did you notice the rounds of applause she got? Me neither. In fact the stony silence that greeted her, and her failure (and Dimbleby's) to find anyone at all to back her up was very encouraging :) I love the fact that they picked on some chap of 70ish to speak after her, probably thinking "he's an old buffer, he'll come out with some good sexist claptrap" and he just wanted to say that sexism was unacceptable and the right decision had been made :o

Was getting a slight crush on the gorgeous MP (not often you can say that) who was talking about the need to stamp out sexism. Blush

Where's this AIBU thread then?

SSM - you are lucky not to have seen her. She is a pointless person as far as I can work out. My mental file on her goes "Katie Hopkins. Irritating. Very conservative and thinks she is Thatcher's clone. Featured on shit TV prog (Apprentice?), then tried to get elected on right wing platform. Failed. Still invited onto Question Time because she never fails to shock with her stupidity and blithe disregard for people poorer than her. Slight resemblance to Xenia on acid in terms of views on women & work."

I missed the programme but am quite glad I did. Think I would have been shouting at the tv!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 28/01/2011 08:37

You too eh Jess? :o

Despite being the sort who thinks Topshop is pretty damn swish, even I could spot that the man was a snappy dresser.
