Pro-feminist men, this feature in the Guardian gives you a chance to speak up

Grin @ feminist crew desperately trying not to scare away a man who is on "our" side

I won't do any more hoisting David, I promise Grin

Beachcomber · 27/01/2011 08:47

"think David is a supportive regular here (sorry if that makes him sound like a strange military rank, or a pair of special pants)"

This did actually make me cry with laughter.

David is, as pointed out here by Elephant's with her own special way with words, a good 'un.

I was especially impressed by his comment about having a lot to learn and actually having listened to us, rather than get all huffy and entitled.

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 27/01/2011 08:58

special way with words eh Hmm :o

Beachcomber · 27/01/2011 09:12

I'm still snorting sometimes when 'Nugget of Pure Bigot Gold' pops into my head as I'm going about my daily business.

That phrase needs trademarked and franchised.

David51 · 27/01/2011 10:49

Thanks for the kind comments, maybe this will encourage some of the pro-fem 'lurkers' out there to make themselves known

Hellooooooooooooo out there pro-fem lurkers.

You've recovered from the bosoming have you, David?

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 27/01/2011 12:34

Beachcomber, I now imagine the goldrush going at at DM headquarters every day. Pickaxes at the ready, sweat on their fevered brows as they hack through the day's scientific research, or just their own fevered imaginations, looking for the motherlode.

vesuvia · 27/01/2011 12:37

The motherlode of anti-feminism.

Oh the irony!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 27/01/2011 12:42

:o

It's like the witch hunt thing.

Beachcomber · 27/01/2011 13:02

Arf.

It was such a classic moment - should definitely be quote of the week except it would piss too many people off.

Please can you think up the feminist equivalent?

Pure Nugget of Misogynist Gold seems a bit unwieldy.

Beachcomber · 27/01/2011 13:03

Or Nugget of Pure Misogynist Gold even.
