Wow, thanks for linking to that story, I'd completely missed it.

I think there was an update in the papers this weekend - I will try to remember where I saw it.

boogeek · 19/10/2010 16:42

Ah I read about that! What a role model.

Imagine how angry and powerful she must have been to stand in front of a train like that?

What a marvellous woman.

They ought to pay her compensation for not having taken action against the sexual harrassers.

itvwales.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/no-action-against-cardiff-city-fans-after-caerphilly-womans-train-abuseprotest/

Football fans accused of verbally abusing a Caerphilly woman on a train will not face criminal charges.

Lisa Robinson stood in front of the train for 20 minutes until police arrived
Lisa Robinson was so outraged by what she described as ?obscene language? that she climbed onto the tracks, standing in front of the train until the driver called police.

Relatives of the fans have welcomed the Crown Prosecution Service decision to take no further action against 10 fans involved.

If they'd been making racist comments to the younger woman, and then to Lisa Robinson, you can bet they would have been in far more trouble.

But just giving unwanted abuse and sexual attention to women - that's dandy.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 18/01/2011 16:43

possibly.
I don't think you can count on racist abuse always being taken seriously, though it is in theory.
