No, but there's a really good book about them - hang on...

This - just amazing.

Yes I'm watching - wow indeed!

I saw that book in the shop I worked in a few years ago, Hab. I was fascinated by it and kept sneaking little reads, but would weep laughing at imagining the caption to one of the photographs being read out in a terribly terribly plummy voice- it went something like: "And second from the left was Enid, who later went on to become a man Grin"

Just so "Keep calm And Carry On", you know? And why not!

I watched this a week or so ago on bbc4 - I loved the letter written in lipstick and the fact they flew without maps! They are truly amazing.

They also flew without instruments - had to take off if and when the weather was good (I think I remember that right - the book recommended above was really good). The problem was if they took off in good weather, which then turned bad, they were completely buggered. Such brave women!
