What time do these things finish? I am trying to work out if Leeds one is practical for me.

thefinerthingsinlife · 07/10/2010 15:48

I'm thinking about taking my daughter to the Portsmouth one on the 27th November

AliceWorld · 07/10/2010 16:14

SSM depends on which one I think. The Leeds one is designed to be child-friendly, so starts teatime ish, march about an hour. Then there is a rally till maybe 9ish. Kids are welcome too.

AliceWorld · 07/10/2010 16:15

I think I mean parent-friendly as well as child-friendly

sethstarkaddersmum · 07/10/2010 16:50

prob still a bit late for my littlies but my nephews (max age 10) might be up for it if I can get SIL to come!
is it advertised yet? I couldn't find anything online.

JessinAvalon · 07/10/2010 17:11

Hi there
There's one in Bristol, in March I think. Not sure of the exact date yet. I did it this year and there was a great turnout plus a crowd of us did an Object feminist Friday beforehand too!

AliceWorld · 07/10/2010 17:23

Just bumping because this is in a couple of weeks time!

Rachyrachrach · 09/11/2010 16:45

Me, me, me. I'm coming with my mum and my sister and my nephew and possibly my son too. Just waiting for confirmation from FiL that he's allowed to come. I'm very excited.

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 09/11/2010 17:34

Hooray!

So:

How late does it usually finish? We need to be on the last train at 10pm unless I can find cheapish accommodation.

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 09/11/2010 18:08

Honestly can't remember, and depends how many people are there etc. But you can duck out at any time and ask a PC to direct you to the station - we are completely surrounded with them on the night. I always wonder whether they're there to protect us from passers-by, or passers-by from us ;o

Rachyrachrach · 09/11/2010 18:12

I know and I get my train from st pancras so not far ro the station but I don't want to miss anything! Unfortunately I don't think I stand much chance of finding anything cheapish for 3 adults one little boy and a baby.

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 09/11/2010 18:14

If it's the same place as last year (Camden Centre?) then it's literally slap bang opposite St Pancras. If we're early then you mighe be able to pop into the party for a bit too :)

Just mentioning I've started a thread in AIBU here about having an official MN presence.
