What is going on :( Endometriosis after hysterectomy?

Hysterectomy last year aged 39 due to severe endometriosis, removed my womb, ovaries and cervix. Some endo was left behind which was embedded in my bowel and rectovaginal area as it was felt too risky to remove. Started HRT straight away (oestrogen and progesterone)

Been feeling much better until the last few weeks when I now have this nagging/dragging/twisting pain around my bowel and vaginal area. It's a feeling of constant pressure and pain and is especially bad when I try and go to the toilet (urine and faeces). No pain during sex though (finally).

However I'm also having awful bowel symptoms - alternating between constipation and diarrhoea, bloating, constant wind which smells absolutely horrendous. I had severe bowel pains earlier this week so went to urgent care who advised it was 'probably' just the remnants of my endo, sent me away with codeine and told me to ask my GP to refer me back to gynae. (The same doctor however did ask me if my periods were regular right after I'd said I'd had a hysterectomy so...)

Has anybody else had this experience? Don't know if that's what it is and I'm doing the right thing by seeking a rereferral or whether I'm off down the wrong path and need to ask for investigations into something else.

It's really starting to become embarrassing as well though! Especially at work trying to hold the gas in, and I'm also in a new relationship which doesn't help :( (Although he's been nothing but amazing including picking me up off the floor when I'd been doubled over in pain and going out late at night to get my prescription for me)

Please go to your doctor straightaway. They need to investigate these changes. No-one here should try to advise/diagnose you.
