Calf shooting pain when in shower

So strange, a few nights ago I went in the shower and as soon as the warm water hit the back of my calf I was in absolute agony. It’s happened everyday in the shower since and I’ve even started having episodes of shooting pain in my upper calf in the daytime. The pain only lasts a few seconds, but afterwards my leg feels like a dull cramp ache. There’s no difference in appearance from the other leg, the only difference is my blue veins are more noticeable. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I’m honestly dreading my showers as the pain is unbearable, but I’ve been to the doctors and he’s told me to just monitor it.

Please get this checked out by your GP again as soon as possible as It is not improving. It may be a DVT. If you experience any chest pain or shortness of breath go immediately to ED.
