In my 40s. I had ultrasound that revealed I have ovarian cysts in each ovary one ovary 7cm complex cyst and 5cm on the other. I had letter telling me I need to have womb biopsy urgently as have significantly thickened lining and ?fibroid that needs investigating urgently. The waiting list is 10 to 20 weeks! What tests will be done and would it be a hysterectomy? I would need one or sonething doing to stop the backache bloating and very heavy periods? I don't want short term fixes because I don't want repeat biopsies every few months as worried sick the lining will be or will turn to cancer. I am worried ablation will trap tissue behind and cause problems further down the line.

I had similar and a minor op for some large fibroids.

Don’t have an ablation as it reduces future options if you need it eg Mirena coil. Recovery from fibroid removal is not too bad. I’m due one in a couple of weeks. Gynae thinks I also have endo though so I’m a bit hmmmmm about how much pain relief I will get from the op.

Edited to add thickening could be adenomyosis. I’m not sure how that’s diagnosed.

That is a long time to wait, has your GP spoken to you about the two week wait urgent suspected cancer referral pathway?
