Missed period at 39: wait another month or see the GP?

Just wanted to see whether there's anything I should be doing re a missed period. I've never missed one before, except when pregnant, but I'm currently 10 days late. Not pregnant as not dtd since April, so if I am pregnant I'm quite far along with no symptoms. Have done a test which was negative.

I'm 39, and have previously been told by the drs they won't do anything to check for perimenopause - this was during an appointment for exhaustion and other things back in Feb.

Not sure whether I should just see what happens next month and then see the Dr if nothing again, or if there's another course that needs to be followed.
Thanks!

I wouldn’t go to the GP for one missed period, they will likely take a ‘watch and wait’ approach. If it happens again, or again in another couple of months, I would book an appointment to discuss.

Thanks, I'll definitely keep an eye on it and see what happens. Just very odd as always been very regular.

I’ve had this a few times either a couple of weeks late or spotting and then a normal period the month after. It’s normally caused by illness for me eg flu, covid or extreme stress. If no period after 2 months I would go, maybe book in a check up (as it’ll probs take weeks anyway) to get blood work done aswell check if you’re low on anything. Don’t worry too much!

Mine were on time every month without fail then randomly went 78 days … I was a little older than you though, was 44 , but menopause symptoms ensued
