Brown mark on underwear after menopause

Just washed a pair of black knickers and noticed a brown mark on the crotch that looks like old blood. I’m post menopause and there has been no blood when I’ve been the loo and wiping should I be worried ?

It's not clear if you noticed the marks before washing them or afterwards. However, if the knickers were clean and with a mark, I'd suggest that it isn't blood but bleached fabric. Your bodily fluids 'bleach' the fabric over time.

I am being over cautious, but a colleague of mine had womb cancer and caught it early because she went to the doctors the first time this happened. When she came back to work after 9 months she gave me the advice that any blood post menopausal should be investigated.

More likely to be ammonia bleaching from bodily fluids surely. You said it was black pants so it’s just the colour leaching out

Yes black pants and almost positive it wasn’t there before washing

I'd just keep a close eye and wear white/light pants so you can tell more easily.

Needing 9 months off work doesn't sound like it was caught early. Caught early means a hysterectomy and you're as right as rain after 6-8 weeks.
