Monthly menstruation madness

Ladies who’s with me on this?

I have been having periods for 20 years now. Every month minus 9 months when pregnant with DD that’s 231 periods…

They never used to bother me that much, I would feel crap don’t get me wrong but I could ride them out. HOWEVER, lately, they are seriously affecting me. I feel so rubbish. Fat, sweaty, breakouts, heavy bleeding and just down right shitty. I just wanna curl up into a ball every month because of how much they affect everything from physical symptoms to emotional mood swings.

is it only me or does anyone feel like your either a) more tolerant when young or b) they do actually get worse as you age?!

The thing that pisses me off the absolute most is how when you say to people that you feel rubbish because of your period - it’s just ‘normal’ like it’s ONLY a period. Like women should just be ok with how our body f’s us over every month and not complain and just get on with it?

is it just me feeling in the depths of hormonal trenches mid period or do others feel this way too? I’m just curious as to how other ladies feel!

Thanks for listening to my rant if you made it this far! 😅

I felt this way. Peri. Out the other end completely now. Worth checking with your doctor. Turned out I had an issue and once it was fixed I got my life back even though my MH was still a bit wobbly.

I felt this way too. Heavy non stop bleeding. Around 20 percent of women have such problems re heavy and prolonged peri menopausal bleeding.

See your GP. You do not have to put up with this at all these days.

If your GP is unhelpful then I would ask for a referral letter in order to see a gynaecologist as a private patient for a consultation. This is because wait times for gynae in many areas are miles long.
