I’m trying to not Google, but have searched old threads on here and it’s really scared me.
Ive been getting pain for months but ignored as hormonal, a lump has very quickly appeared, it’s big. I went to the breast clinic yesterday, GP and consultant initially very blase, likely the fibroid-thing etc etc. Then comes the ultrasound, not that, not a cyst, “50/50 cancer” were her exact words. Mammograms. Back to the consultant, “very concerning”, “I don’t want to tell you have cancer and you go home crying for 3 weeks, so we’ll see you when we have the results”. Not the best bedside manner from either side I have to say.
Lymph nodes look healthy. I’m regretting not asking more questions, I’ve no idea about size, the RAD scale thing, I was just shocked at how the appointment changed so quickly.
It’s just the way the consultant spoke to me, it really felt like he thought I had cancer, I’m not a sensitive person, I don’t flap, I’m not exaggerating, it really was just how it felt the way he was talking to me.
