Since being a teenager I have had a migraine every cycle. A couple of days before bleeding starts. I read its related to hormone changes.
Have put up with it for years. Had migraine tablets for a while. Took pill back to back when contraception was needed to avoid them.
But not been on any contraception for about 14 years now so just been dealing with them without GP input.
But the last year they have just gotten so much worse. The intensity has me in bed the full day. Vomiting. Light sensitivity. Nausea. All I can do is sleep.
I was given zolmitriptan by someone (i know Its prescription med and I shouldn't take it but i was desperate) and that helps but it also makes me feel awful for a while.
But now I am getting multiple days of migraines, not just the one day I have experienced my whole life.
I can only assume I am perimeno (41) and so my hormones are fluctuating more, causing the migraines.
Has anyone else experienced this?
