Breast pain (hormones? Weight loss?)

I’ve started getting a lot of pain in my breasts, on and off. It’s nearly always my right breast, but before my period last month both were very tender. It feels almost muscular if that makes sense, achy, on the nights it’s bad it keeps me awake. Can’t find any lumps or changes in how they look.

I’ve lost 20lb this year but I didn’t think my breast size look much different, I’m a 32/34E so boobs have always been on the slightly bigger side; could it be from poorly fitting bras? I’ve a certain wireless bra that seems to trigger it more although it’s so freaking comfortable to wear. I’m 38 so I didn’t know if it could be changes in hormones? I had it really bad last night, I’m ovulating soon.

I know I need to go to a GP and will, just asking if people have experienced here.

I had some stabbing breast pain in peri, was there for days and days then disappeared then I thsnlster it was there again on off for a year or two. Had plenty of chest x rays with no concerns but I’d probably say something to GP if it’s worrying you
