Breast changes after weight loss and exercise despite recent clear screening

Trying not to completely lose it… when I lift my left arm I have a subtle dent/flat bit to right of nipple and a vein that is easy to see and feel.

I also have a similar flattening on the right side under my nipple and palpable veins.

I’ve lost loads of weight recently (down 3 cup
sizes) and have been working out. I’m 46 so usual hormonal changes too.

I get offered screening through work snd had a mammogram and ultrasound late Feb/early March. Both fine although I do have v dense boobs.

saw GP this morning and the plan was always to get a referral but with a good dose of reassurance! She wasn’t reassuring at all although I guess she was just doing things by the book when she kept saying referral ‘to check for cancer’

going away tomorrow for a week and desperately want to put out of mind / not check / enjoy myself but my anxiety is spiking.

Overall chances are I’m ok for all aforementioned reasons and I know 9/10 visits to breast clinic are ok. And if it’s not best I know to get on treatment.

Had anyone had similar experiences? Especially related to boob changes after work and exercise?

Yes I’ve lost loads of weight and have dimpling. Upon gp examination she felt a lump in the same place. Waited 4 weeks (2ww I wish!) for an appt at the one stop breast clinic. All fine - I had two separate examinations, a mammogram and an ultrasound. Nothing there. I will try to get used to how my body looks and feels now so that I have this as a baseline. Try to feel reassured that they haven’t seen anything untoward v recently, and as you say you will be in the right hands if anything else is needed to be done.

Thank you @Buscake - glad to hear it worked out for you but what a pain about the wait! I always wanted smaller boobs but never stopped to think about the excess skin and misshapen bits.

fingers crossed I’ll get the all clear too. And that I can get my head straight while I’m waiting.

Bumping in hopes of a virtual hand hold : )

Appointment on Monday morning.

Just back from a week away where I coped pretty well but spiralling a bit now that home. Keep
imagining how I’ll tell my mum and kids, how I’ll cope with chemo.

Lots of reassuring stories on here from women who have had indents and have been ok. Just crossing everything that my recent clear scans mean if it is something, they’re catching it early.

For anyone who may come across this thread in the future looking for reassurance, all
ok for me at clinic today.

Saw dr first who said nothing to worry about. Thinks it’s where I’ve lost weight and the skin elasticity has just gone so it can’t lift itself with the tissue. Confirmed by ultrasound which came back U1 - nothing found.
