Hi everyone

I’ve been on but the control for years and only came off 7 years ago to have my child. I don’t want anymore children but equally I would like to not take any hormones anymore. Can anyone share their experiences good or bad about coming off the pill please?

Can you do it gradually? My GP stopped prescribing because of my age. I started taking my last packetvevery other day, then with a 2 day gap. No ill effects

Oh I never thought of that! Yeah I mean I could do that, I have a 5 left and was going to get some more tomorrow but then I started having second thoughts. I have been thinking about it for a while, but I could go and get them and do that. Are you completely off them now?

About 12 months. No problems at all, but I'm probably a bit older than you. A friend who works in a pharmacy recommended phasing them down as she said I was less likely to be a miserable moo!

What age are you? Don't get the copper coil is my tip, I got endometriosis a few years later.

Oooh okay, maybe I will get some more tomorrow and do that instead of cold turkey! Thankyou ☺️
