Cold and flu symptoms before periods, just me or others too?

Does anyone else feel like they are coming down with a cold/flu just before their period? My period is trying to start today (has been for the last 24 hours really) and I feel terrible - sore, scratchy throat, very achy, extremely tired. Almost like you feel like you have a cold and are very lethargic. Is this just me? I’m almost convincing myself I am going down with something.

One of my DDs gets this. She found taking vitamin b6 for a week or up to ten days before she was due helped a bit.

Me. I feel lousy for two days before my period starts-sometimes longer-with flu like symptoms. It’s got worse as I’ve entered peri.

Yes I get this and was told by my GP it's not a thing

Yes. It's a thing. Can't remember what hormone triggers it.
Teen DD gets quite poorly.

It's presumably yet another area of women's health that is under researched and brushed off as something we're imagining.

Yes it is - the GP looked at me like I was speaking gibberish and had 2 heads when I mentioned it. So therefore of course I’ve made it up!
