UTI symptoms with only leukocytes showing on dip test?

Has anybody had a UTI with only leukocytes on dip?
The only signs i’m having is a night or two ago, i felt like i needed a wee but nothing really came out, and then at the end of having a wee after that just felt like a weird sensation.
I did an at home dip it was negative. Until this morning x

Hello @Kirstymariex - I think you have been suffering like this for a while as I remember your other posts? Do you feel like you have a UTI all the time or only sometimes?

hey! so i’ve been UTI free for around 8 weeks.
the first one i had showed nitrites not just leukocytes like this one.
also the first one i learned last week from my GP it was sensitive to the cefalexin and co-amoxiclav i had for 7 days each. So that was 2 weeks of antibiotics which wasn’t doing anything. Once i was given 7 days nitrofurantoin after the co-amoxiclav it cleared and i got much better x

I get this every time. Insist on antibiotics or you’ll end up with an embedded infection that takes years to treat

i got 7 days nitrofurantoin. I didn’t realise just white cells could mean infection i thought nitrites had to be present x

Dip stick tests are known to be very unreliable and shouldn’t be taken as an indicator of no infection.
