Apologies as I know this topic has been discussed so much but I think I’ve sent too much time reading all the bad stories on here that I just want a bit of perspective.
i had the implant removed as I bled on it constantly for a year, I was on the pill about 10 years ago and I’m sure I came off it because of constant bleeding aswell but I can’t remember. Could have also been as I was sitting exams and so didn’t want anything to alter my mood.
me and my husband have discussed delaying children for 4 years due to stuff going on in our life. When I got the implant removed it was with the idea we would soon start to TTC but now that’s not the case.
after much research I went to get the Mirena coil, however I had a failed insertion as my cervix was clamped shut , I’m not sure how far they got as I was in a lot of pain so something must have been done. They have rearranged for a doctor to do it for me with an ultrasound but I’m now petrified of going back as it really hurt.
im also stressing that what if this is a sign it’s not meant for me, I know that’s silly. Also if it’s this hard putting in what if they struggle to take it out. Not sure whether to cancel the appointment and try and give the pill another go
I just feel let down that no form of contraception seems to be working for me :( and technically I know the coil hasn’t not worked for me it just hasnt gone in which is different
just looking for anyone who had a failed insertion the first time and then went back for a successful second insertion please
