Been on desomono mini pill for a few weeks after switching from combined pill. I am having an awful experience. I have anxiety anyway but last 2 weeks my anxiety has been at its worst having panic attacks mood swings constant anxiety I am sure the pill is causing it. Has anyone else suffered with mental health on tjis pill? I can't take it if it makes me feel like this

Not panic attacks nor anxiety but pretty bad mood swings and then also irregular bleeding/periods. I'd be really snappy at home with everyone. It is strange as I had been on it years before having my baby with no real issues.
I have been off it a month and the moods have calmed down a lot. Speak to your Dr, there are different types of mini pill and another one may be a better fit for you.

My GP prescribed Cerazette for me which is desogestrel and it was awful. Within just a few days I was a tearful mess, barely functioning and for the first time in my life experiencing severe anxiety. I swapped to Noriday which is norethisterone based and was fine on that. Go back and ask to swap to a different type.

Not really taken any pill previously for mental health but know that therapy combined with medication works better than taking pills alone as your cognitions gets regulated through therapy and so does your behavior gets affected as well.
