Reusable period product recommendations for a petite daughter travelling in Asia

Our 25 year old daughter is going travelling soon. She's initially going to China, then Vietnam and Cambodia etc.
I would like to get her a reusable period product but wondered about sizing.
She's tiny. Size 6-8, weight is around 6 and a half stone and height 5 1.
Can anyone suggest a product and size please

I should add, she has never given birth or been pregnant.

She is a grown woman why are you getting involved her period products are her bussiness! Does she know you are asking the Internet this ?

Given that hygiene facilities might be substandard in some of those places, I would steer clear of menstrual cups.

This, if she's old enough to travel alone, she needs to research this herself. Will she actually have access to laundry facilities? Reusable pants might be a nuisance if she's having to carry them around before she has the chance to wash them.

She won’t be able to buy tampons (well not in Vietnam in my experience).

I would also be wary of talking on the Internet with randoms about your own personal experiences of what you use.

If she’s not thought of this herself then she’s got no business going travelling. I know people like to help, but there’s a difference between helping and taking over and doing it for them.

She’s 25, she could have signed up here and asked herself.

she isn't that skint if she is going on an extended holiday she can buy and take her own sanitary products, again she is a fully grown woman ! ALSO If you tried a cup and didn't like it why "gift" your daughter one.

She will still be considered small sized in those countries but not unusual.

Is she going into very rural parts of those countries or backpacker towns? So long as there are tourists, I have no reason to think there won't be toilets or places to buy period products in those countries.

If she can get with a menstrual cup, I think the best combo is period pants and menstrual cup for heavy days. She will need access to a toilet and sink. Underpants will dry very quickly in the heat.

What a weird thing to pull someone up on. It’s perfectly normal to describe someone as petite in the UK. Her daughter would wear petite ranges of clothing. They’re in almost every clothes shop.

I would have found it really fucking weird for my mum to try to get involved in my period management at 25. Or even 15!!

Are you French, @Helenbelena? ‘Petite’ has been in common usage in English for many years, specifically when referring to a woman’s build or clothing size.

In your daughter’s place I would just use period pants, OP - she can wash them with her normal laundry.

Why are you discussing your adult daughter’s periods online? Completely unnecessary.

Wuka flexi fit period knickers - my 11 and 15 year olds have them and they’re great. They do adult and teen sizes so the older girls or small ladies should fit your DD

25? I'd give her the cash if she's short of it, and let her work out.
