I have no idea what to do with this info I just found on my NHS app.
I have a letter on the app from 2014 following an ultrasound I requested. It concludes 'Probably bilateral poly-cystic ovaries'. It recommends a blood hormone analysis that was never done. This possible condition was never communicated to me and I don't know how to digest this. I was told everything came back fine and it must just be stress.
For context, I was at uni at the time with a crappy uni GP. I had months between my periods and I had to fight to get this ultrasound done. I've been looking up the symptoms and some of them fit me (acne, struggle with weight loss, inconsistent periods, anxiety/depression). It feels like this could explain a large portion of my adult life. I'd say some of this has gotten better since I had my dc 4 years ago.
But where do I go from here? Do I book a GP appt? I feel so confused and kinda gaslit.
