im after tried and tested best collagen for 40 + women most probably peri menopausal…. I really struggle with my weight incredibly stubborn to shift (changing your my routine as clearly isn’t working!!) my joints aren’t great but also I feel like I need something to help my body work smoothly.

lots of people have said collagen helps with the above, but I’ve also heard a lot are no good as you need to take it with vitamin c or d? Again I’m not sure this is what ppl have mentioned to me.

please tell me your experiences and any good/bad ones

many thanks

Hrt would probably be better to help your joints if its peri menopause related. Try fish oil supplements and co q 10 too.

I use Elevate. It contains vitamin C already so you don’t need to take it separately.

Im in my early 40s, I use nutrition geeks collagen, game changer!

Elevate collagen is all over my Facebook feed.
It is a mixture of marine for your skin & bovine for joints. It seems to be massively popular, you can send for samples & their marketing is “in your face” but they do have celebrity endorsements but could be AI?

Im not on it but might try it.
Sorry for long link.
Look it up.

Most of the benefits people think they get from collagen is because they’ve increased their protein intake. There’s no evidence that collagen remains collagen after it’s been digested.

I would suggest trying HRT and a cheaper whey protein.
